as you might recall, last weekend, a friend was supposed to visit. they had car trouble and could not make it. we rescheduled for this weekend.
i was stood up. for the last time. hence the previous video.
i was pretty angry when i got started. so i ditched the first video and made another, the one you find immediately previous to this post.
not only did this friend stand me up, they have not bothered to as much as call, email, or make any effort to tell me anything. no excuses. no word at all.
suffice to say, it is the last time i am making time for this person, period.
shortly after that video, i took myself out and met another friend in the bohemian village nearby. we had a great time. i brought them over to meet Daka. we listened to music. heh. it felt a lot like those high school nights… you know the ones.
they just left. i am now sitting here comparing and contrasting things. setting the markers to remind myself how people who care act and underscoring how those who do not act as well.
i’m learning. slowly, as usual. but i am learning. it feels good to be able to say so.
