i must say, it is damned nice to be in demand again.
i am currently under consideration by amazon.com, expedia.com, and microsoft gaming systems. hah! HAH! take THAT, life!
of course, i don’t know that any of them will do more than nibble, but to have them interested at all is its own reward.
i’d have a fourth but they are farther than i care to drive. heh. the rates here are amazing. any one of these will easily pay double what i would make on the east coast. amazing. cost of living isn’t that much different here. wow, that feels nice.
the morning run at the local job boards and papers complete, the round of calls to the recruiters made, it’s time to laze with the cats and relax a bit. i cannot tell you how nice it is just to be able to say/write that. to not have to run out and snag work at some retail store or other ‘piss my ankles and arthritis off because i have to eat until i find a better job’ job.
i wonder if james understands that i am interested in him. and i wonder, if he does, if he realizes that it’s because of him, who and how he is… not because he happens to be saving my bacon. (wry grin)
did i mention he is a hard read? i’m not used to not knowing. bleh.
ah well. things will as they will. for now, i am content.
