A quiet friday night…

A smallish status update to start – the archives require some parsing and editing before coming online, so it may be a few days yet before I manage it. That said, I have decided that the only things that will make the transition are those that hold creative, positive, or otherwise peaceful things. I suppose that won’t sound like much to ‘say’, but, all things considered, it is a sizeable shift from the purpose and orientation of these places in previous years. The explication isn’t that important, so I’ll keep it brief – there are things that should be shared with the world, random unknown visitors, and those I know who are curious. Much of the archives simply do not fit into that category of ‘should’.

The artwork is up, but I am undecided as to whether or not I’ll continue making items to add to the gallery. My orientation toward creativity is as fluid as it is in relation to the rest of my reality; When I feel the urge, I indulge it, and when I do not, I don’t push it. I think that’s an important part of ‘art’; that the things you set into the world are birthed via passion, not persistance. Does it make a difference to anyone but me? Unlikely, but then, it’s a good thing to live in accord with one’s differences.

Not much else to report tonight. It is, as the title suggests, a quiet Friday night. I find I’m enjoying quietude more than I once did. This, a happy thing, is one I intend to nourish.

Rain clouds and moonlight
Traffic making trails
Slick streets outside my window
Rainbows collect in puddles
Treasures, post-sunset
Coloring the night
