www.chacha.com is trying to out-broker the information brokers, out-google google, and out-library the librarians. simply put, they staff human guides to help you sift through search results and pick out ‘things of interest’ to you.
i tried it the other day. they’ve got a ways to go. currently in beta, staffed by referrees (residual income to those bringing them in, a la amway… but i think there’s a limit to how many any one may invite), and slower than most will want… but it has promise.
