you know the feeling you get when you close the back cover of a book that kept you engrossed for what seemed like a very long time?
that’s the feeling i have in this moment.
oddly enough, today is the one year anniversary of that guild. the guild which is no more.
the developer says they will keep my characters indefinitely. so the guild name will sleep with them. it will no more rise and is, at last, safe from the clawing, cloying hands of the ghosts.
ironically, i become one myself to manage it.
i don’t mind, of course. just noticing.
it was a good read. a bit intense in places, but not in bad ways. i chuckle and set the book upon the shelf. perhaps i’ll read it again on some far flung day. but for now, i’m content to let it be memory.
