well… things are down to a dull roar so far as the tummy is concerned. what follows may be slightly graphic, so if you’re the queasy type… you may want to skip this one. (or at least the part at the beginning).
i finally got some sleep and it seems that’s what my body needed to rid itself of whatever has been tearing chunks out of my stomach. they say it’s a stomach virus, but i’m not so sure. what i do know is that, having slept a bit, i woke up and immediately felt like i had to vomit.
hauled to the bathroom and tossed up something that looked remarkably like… well… some kind of damn rock. ok, much more slippery and ugly, but still… a rock. and since then (bout oh, three hours ago), i am actually starting to feel better. still sore as heck, but the small bit of bread and scrambled eggs i risked stayed down, which is more than anything else has done in the last two days.
heh. not much else to report. damn thunderstorms here are making my joints feel like they’re turning inside out, but that’s nothing new. a flash of weirdness has settled and in it, some sense of balance in relation to a couple of friends. perhaps the entire network isn’t falling apart after all.
one of my friends is moving from nevada to north carolina in july… and taking a several hundred mile detour just to visit. i’m humbled. and kind of surprised. i mean, i’m usually the one going above and beyond… not sure how to react on those rare occasions it happens to me. grinning, happy, looking forward to it, of course. but still… kind of off-balance. it’ll settle. but for now, i’m enjoying the sense of wobbling. 🙂
skating financial issues in this moment, but will clear up next week. almost over-extended and thankful i didn’t. missed the red ink by mere dollars. bleh. been a while since i’ve made a mistake like that. but not unrecoverable. whew.
in the ‘hah, flip flop’ department — i’m cautiously exploring playing WoW as… a game. (gulp) friend of mine out in cali wanted to try it and i’m having fun watching them goggle and gape and be giddy at the world. rolled up and powered up a young one to goof off with them. fun times. intermittent enough to avoid the feeling of ‘having to play’ which was always bothersome.
wowsah. ok. that was a bout of thunder that literally shook the entire building. posting and getting the heck offline before more than noise happens. lightening capital of the world. oy. good surge and power supply hasn’t been much help here, i admit. amazing spikes. ah well. perhaps more later.
