A bit of hectic lately, so not a lot of time to post. Work is slowly improving, home life is splendid, and college is grueling in a “bored beyond belief, but determined to stick it out” way.
My daughter lands in Seattle in about three hours and we’ll have through Sunday together. I’ve take off Monday and Tuesday as my birthday is on the 24th and I want to luxuriate in all my “45-ness”. (Egad. I do not FEEL 45 whatever. How time flies!)
Beyond this, not much; creative urges are largely confined to college work these days, but La Brea is far from gone, so there will eventually be more to pour here.
In other news, I’ve met someone. A very nice someone. Add to this that they’ve made it past the treacherous one month mark (wry grin) and display all the earmarks of “alien-hood”. I’m mildly boggled, but thoroughly enjoying it.
Not sure I mentioned it here (!!) but all tests on the 2nd returned in normal ranges; as in “you don’t look diabetic” which is nice as it means the changes made have brought significant improvement and there is a change that, with continuing exercise and mindfulness toward diet, I may be able to come off medication next year and have something resembling a normal life (i.e., free of the various scares and risks so long as I behave myself). We’ll see. There is the pesky newness of a mild heart murmur, but additional tests are soon to occur to map all that and discover if there’s more to manage or not. Again, we’ll see.
All in all, still a wonderful and enjoyable life. I am content.
I hope you are, too. 🙂
