Back to the house hunting, we go! Have the eye on a house which is undergoing current renovation and offering quite a few perks above and beyond what one would normally find on market. Met with the owner (!) today and walked through, talking about options, preferences, color choices, etc and, based upon the discussion, we’re sending an offer over tomorrow that incorporates the items from the discussion and the usual contingencies.
I find I’m much calmer on this than I have been in the past. I suppose two years of looking, finding, offering, going under contract, only to have ridiculous karmic activities interrupt (let’s see… FHA walked over $300 a year too much income on one, got laid off two days before locking on another, blah, blah, blah) has lent me a certain equanimity about it all. Either this will go or it won’t and, this time, I’d LIKE to have the house, but I don’t HAVE TO have it.
It’s a nice and refreshing shift in perspective. Reckon I needed it. Heh.
Once I know this is happening (as in, “when the underwriting is locked and we have an actual close date”), I’ll post pictures. Until then, nothing but “Om”… 🙂
