You have no idea how hard it is not to post pictures and start planning as if this house is mine. Yesterday evening, I got the notification that lot and renovation work is complete at the house; I pulled a “split shift” for work (took lunch at 1, departed at 2, returned home and knocked out the difference in hours) to go over and walk through the place to decide if the outcomes were to my liking.
They are. So, upon return (and in possession of many photos, copies of all renovation receipts, and permits), I notified the seller’s agent of this being the case and we officially cross the line from “pre-sales contract” to “sales contract”.
Next up, the house inspection. The truly amazing fellow that did our last inspection on the last “house I hope to buy” (that fell through due to an unexpected lay off) has graciously agreed to go outside his usual area of operations to repeat the process. I cannot tell you how pleased I am for this, and happily do I link here to my previous review with no doubt whatever that Paul Neis will once more provide the very epitome of thorough, detail-focused inspection.
BUT! Until this is done and the results are positive (thus allowing me to cross the final boundary to closing on the sale), I refrain from more than one picture… so, here, the 1910 Craftsman that I soon hope to call “home”:
