Lyric:
Sit and play with words in my every day
Always perturbed how much they cannot say
Seems ironic how words get in the way
So much talking but life it does not sway
Have this feeling my life has gone all wrong
Is this struggle because I am headstrong
Have I been on the wrong page all along
Think I’ve lost the plot else I don’t belong
My words are always in such disarray
Maybe this is why happy cannot stay
I have felt this same way for all my life
Often less, never more, it’s always strife
My wishes for peace ever come to naught
In constant turmoil, I seem to be fraught
Eager to escape this endless race
Every human should have a safety place
Despair always keeps familiar pace
Need relief, to bring peace into my space
Wish I could find words, tell us what to do
To make life better for both me and you
To fix this world and all humans imbue
With light, make it right, our future accrue
Wishes are good as playing blind-man’s bluff,
Who the hell am I, to try and talk tough?
Solutions exist, we don’t do enough;
Future’s accrual? That’s gonna be rough.
Still, with words I play, try again each day
I must find the way to finally say
Come what may, we must not go astray
We must not play, don’t give this world away
This future and this now is down to me and you
Keep in mind that what you say isn’t what you do
Words without actions are trite and never true
In this world of talkers, be one who sees things through
