well. here’s another one.
recent events led me to the decision to set two others out of the realm of ‘the real’ and to make of them instead teachers.
i recall specifically writing of one of them (at the time of their induction into practice) saying that there is a deliberate choice here… a choice to see them not as a hateful, spiteful, wrong intended, wrong acting individual… but instead, as a benevolent, right intentioned, right acting lama…. indeed, a wisdom daka, teacher and precious dispenser of lessons and insight.
today… during study, i encounter another set of material on dakinis. i’m reading it when i meet this small reference to their male counterparts:
While the word dakini refers to enlightened compassionate activity embodied as a spirit in female form there is also the daka, designating a male sky-goer. The 25th day of the lunar cycle is dakini day, while on the 10th the daka is celebrated.
that last sentence vibrated here. a small chime sounded in the back of my head. i returned here and did a quick search… and in the result, synchronicity.
