shifted sundries (heh)

well. got to the pottery shop and they weren’t open for another hour. made the mistake of going into blockbuster to spend the time.

as a result, pottery weekend is now ‘movie weekend’ (grin).

picked up a number of movies i’ve wanted to see and have not, and bought one that intrigued me when it came out, but i never heard any more of… thus, the budget for recreation is blown and i’m back to idle mode until payday.

anyway… the movie queue:

The Blue Butterfly – William Hurt and Pascale Bussieres

The Butterfly Effect – Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart (no theme, i swear!)

Cars – Owen Wilson and Paul Newman (among others)

Lady in the Water – Paul Giamatti and Bryce Dallas Howard

Lonesome Jim – Casey Affleck and Liv Tyler

Ergaon – Ed Speleers and John Malkovich

Man of The Year – Robin Williams

Borat – Sacha Baron Cohen

the purchase was of ‘The Science of Sleep’ by Michel Gondry, with names you’d likely not recognize. it will be first on my play list, if Eragon doesn’t tempt me first. i read the book when it arrived and, while not stellar, it was a pleasant read. i’m looking forward to seeing the effects and cinematography and am hopeful of a good adaptation.

so, obviously, the remainder of the day is now planned. heh.

p.s.: i had planned to pick up a movie recommended by a friend, alas, the name escaped me. it will have to happen another time.
