I love you, you stranger on a street corner you of frazzled face and polished shoes with your vente latte and your impatience the world on a string, incessant tugging halos and horns and wing-tip shoes seersucker smoothness and a wall street journal keeping up appearances because you never knew the joneses but the jones for being what appearance implies is such delicious and elusive prey I loved you before I knew you all six years old and careful observer not sure why tailored suits and shiny shoes “meant something” but it must be important because it kept daddy too […]
Midweek haiku chain blah blah blah
The weight of Fall breeze, Soft drift, the ash of old fires, Sent to the four winds Like my tale of life The shape of all things to come Crafted by what was But for those times when, As Atlas, my shoulders shrug… Weight of world, falling Drifting like the ash To rest quietly on ground Inertial gasp Spin of time, passing, Cycles turn replication Occasionally But me? I just feel tired.
Ah, bow dee chee tah
I want to sacrifice myself spread-eagle on a mountaintop; flesh-freed and soul-lifted, flit into the trees, the sky I ponder immortal impossibilities content myself with the 2nd law never dying, shifting forms, a return to the place before I was born The pun of the vas defer ens: halls of the fathers, I smile; life is rarely solemn, too busy bubbling for egress, release The vast differences of life diversity in which rests strength; a lesson that sapient, mammal apes seem oddly loathe to embrace By thinking, too inured to think; in thinking, too short of sight; myopic multitudes, among […]
Swift, the sunrise
Karmic waves, rippling, not yet fully resolved;I feel the weight, tugging.“White shores, and beyond,a far green countryunder a swift sunrise.”It doesn’t sound so bad,for all it feels soin this moment; but thatis not love, only loss,a muttering ego meandering,a maudlin tale of melancholy,a momentary mantra.

Zygometric (a pure seed pattern as fiction)
The dissonance present in today’s business culture is crushing us all. How is it that we cannot more clearly understand, collectively, that no method, no tool, no system, no process, no policy, no standard, and no rule will ever SOLVE an issue that is not actively and honestly engaged by every sentient affected and all relevant data at hand? This article is an attempt to unpack the conceptual mass of the above paragraph by defining its terms and their contexts to deliver the fullness of the problems and outline the potential solutions involved. Much of this article assumes you have a […]
She Who Dreams (roleplay, deity origination alternarrative)
*~The peaceful smile of the woman before you is at once calming and a curiosity; her normally olive eyes are transmuted in this moment, wreathed in what appears to be flame. Regardless, she is serene, somehow ethereal and earthy all at once… a paradox. She nods and gestures to the thick pillow on her left.~ * “Welcome, friend,” the alto voice murmurs softly; “I understand you wish to hear the tale of She Who Dreams.” Taking your silence for agreement, she places her hands carefully upon her knees. An observer might note with mild amusement that the position of her […]
RP: Shroud of The Avatar (backstory/introduction)
For those who know me, the notion that I’m posting this is far from surprising. I am an MMO gamer of long time (22+ years! More if you count MUDs, MOOs, MUSH, and of course, BBSs..sss…ss.zzzes!), and I have yearned mightily for a successor to the games that I ENJOYED that time and advances of technology have rendered me too jaded to now enjoy. I watch the announcement of new games across the Internet closer than is comfortable to tell you; their descriptions are woefully thematic and similar. While I am happy people enjoy MOBA style gaming, and I am […]
Open Reply to Tim Stanley re: New Zealand opening of “The Hobbit”
(ref article: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/timstanley/100192299/send-these-horrid-hobbits-back-to-the-shire/) Given your purported educational background, I must admit that I am perplexed by your apparent inability to understand the recent fervor and enthusiasm that greeted the opening of the latest Tolkien classic rendered to film. I will assume for the moment that the bleach from your carefully frosted tips is the culprit; unless of course, you happened to have inadvertently pulled your drawers tighter than expected the morning you decided to write this pitiful expression of selectively blind culturalism. Could it be that your exposure to history is inferior to that which most Ph.D.s experience? Did you […]
Friday Eve Update
An excellent Friday eve, this. I was able to burn test the memory overnight and this morning, re-slotted the third chip to run it and check for errors. Thus far, no problems. So either the seating/pairing was off or the last chip is the bad one. We’ll see. In other news, an interview late this afternoon for a short term contract. It seems very interesting, so I’m hopeful the hook is set. Again… we’ll see. All caught up on college coursework for the week (slightly ahead, actually), so I’ve been spending my time over at Quora.Com dabbling in punditry and […]
