beautiful poem by Thich Nhat Hanh.
judgment and honesty
sometimes i am surprised how judgmental people are. i am not sure why i am surprised.
afterthoughts
people who use what they know of your skeletons to condemn you are not friends. people who care for you do not do this. people who expect you to take swings for them, but cut you off the first time you do it are not friends. people who care for you do not do this. people who justify their cruelties but condemn yours are not friends. people who care for you do not do this. i will remember this.
instant karma – card
today’s ‘instant karma’ card is oddly comforting, for all it’s imagery is damn well disturbing. i suppose they make them that way on purpose.

pre-coffee ramble
one of the annoyances of going to bed early is the inevitable early waking.
letting it be
i’m working on letting whatever is, be. sometimes that means snarling. this is one of those times.
i am a dupe. again.
you know what makes me angry? being right. i hate being right. i especially hate being right when someone tells me they will never x, y, or z… and i tell them the circumstances or reasons they would very precisely do x, y, or z… and they swear blue faced they would NEVER…. and then… guess what? they do.
