There is a place where nothing is; all being and life extending and extruded, and spasming senses tremble for sensation that is not. A great and terrifying paradox – the ALL THAT IS NOT – within which no name can stand, no label will stick, and no boundary, be declared. It cannot fit in words, as even this contradictory paragraph deftly demonstrates. All truths are contradictory and paradoxical in the ultimate presentation. Not because that’s how they are, but because that’s how we are; stunted and blocked by our dualities, our dichotomies. All experience broken upon the fulcrum of perception, […]
Shine
Unwanted. All my life, I feel it; a weight of dull, dead eyes, not seeing me, only an obligation unwanted, an unfortunate-but-legally-binding presence upon the mind and being of another. I never wondered why. Why would I? The world was entirely certain. The normalcy of what is creates its own authority, it’s own terrible credibility. With time, it is sealed, like so much cement, into the abyss… falling, ever falling, into the quiet, dark void wherein I dwell. I float in it, you know. Always have. I did not realize even this until very recently. I just thought that everyone […]
This hump (day) is breaking, I think
I believe that We The People are being played. I believe that, around this globe, those in positions of leadership[1] and/or power know that there is but one thing to keep all of this speculative investment, revenue-hiding, debt kiting, usury-inciting, offshore-work exploiting, offshore-bank-account-infusing group of REPRESENTATIVES AND TRUSTEES proceeding (sometimes quite literally) full speed ahead: War. I believe that many United States government representatives have so greatly abused their position and power that they, themselves, are at long last fearful of repercussion. I believe that none of this is “conspiracy” so much as the infamous, ignoble, and illegal confluence of […]

Downsizing
I find I’m not doing enough with this blog to justify the monthly expense. Sad, because I’ve been with this host for eleven years and they have just been aces. We’re in the process of preparing for an extreme down-size and there is a part of me that is happy for it. I feel the weight of all this “stuff” and it rankles. Every piece of it is a cord and hook that shackles me to a culture that I abhor but, oops, I did it again? Meh. The plan is to have a hauler come and just take whatever […]
ABCDiabetes (aka “homeostasis, what?”)
Albumin, blood sugar, creatinine, dialysis, endocrinology, frustration, gallbladder (gone), hysterectomy? I just know life must not overwhelm; perhaps, quietly, restfully, serenely, trust until victory will xeroticly jacht zen. Or not. I mean, really, when you add in the rest (and the lack of rest), the equation of balance becomes more and more overtly ludicrous; personally, I think the banal humor rests in that the names of things so completely obscure their meaning anymore… functional illiteracy meeting functional myopia meeting functional plausibility and having themselves a good laugh around the circumstances and events colliding in and around me. Palindromic Rheumatism sounds […]
An Open Letter To The United States Congress Dated October 1, 2018
An open letter to The United States Senate, in particular to those currently serving in the capacity of adjudication in the matter of potential Supreme Court Justice, Honorable Brett Kavanaugh: It is with some quiet wonderment that I witness this, the latest skirmish within the halls of what is supposed to be our most humble and vociferous protectors, stewards, and leaders. It occurs to me that our country has fallen entirely into conflict and disarray; no more so is this obvious than in watching actual, live footage of an event intended to vet, vouch, and validate a candidate for one […]
Ready for Autumn
Now that the house is lost and the realities of my health are settling in, I find I’m actually glad to have the space in which to just… breathe. I’m so proud of J and how well he’s held up during everything that I don’t quite know how best to say it… I’ll just say it the way I said it to him, “You are my real life hero; the only person who is there for me exactly the same as I am for you.” It’s a really good feeling to have that in life. I spent quite some time […]
Antiques: A requisite statement for you, dear reader… (find an appraiser)
If you’re reading this, thank you for stopping by… I appreciate that my article was at all helpful to you! That said – I find that I have a need to issue a firm (but empathetic) statement regarding requests for authentication of items that occasionally show up in my in-box: I am NOT a licensed appraisal professional and, should I choose to reply to you, I am NOT giving you a professional assessment of value or originality. Should I respond, I am offering ONLY my personal OPINION as an AMATEUR design enthusiast and particular admirer of the design, work, and […]
The Type II Shuffle (an update)
Figuring out my carbohydrate tolerance was an important part of regaining focus and control – every benefit outlined in the below clip is accurate in my personal experience; unfortunately, most insurance seems to want to insist upon 2 level checks a day if you’re “well managed”. (As if getting there and staying there doesn’t require a minimum of 4 to 6 tests a day, with spikes to the routine if/when new foods are introduced to the diet). I find it ironic that in this day of “big data” and all swirling thereabouts, even in the insurance industry, no one has […]
