habitually

it occurs to me that i am a creature of habit. and i take it much too personally when routines are disrupted. i know it’s just me. i know it’s just expectation set by years of seeing it happen. i know this. i do. really. so it’s very frustrating and makes me feel kind of hopeless when i do it. when a routine is changing for very legitimate and logical and appropriate reasons and all i can do is sit here and hug myself and rock and feel like it’s just a matter of time now before the worst thing […]

meteorological neck

i have a meteorological neck. atop it sits my meteorological head. one to two days before a change in the weather, my neck aches. if it’s supposed to be a heavy shift in weather pattern, or something truly heavy duty is heading our way, i get a headache. i just woke from a three hour nap because my neck and head felt like they were going to literally pop off my shoulders. i decide to check the internet (no tv, no radio, if you recall) and lo! an ice storm is heading our way. well, heck, i knew something was […]

heh. ige answers as expected.

in rapid followup to my previous post, two documents: (1) – 40-drop-plaintiff – a motion granted to drop IGE Hong Kong from the suit. (got to hate it when your attorney doesn’t know who to sue!) (2) – 41-ige-answer – the answer filed by IGE on the 3rd of january, in which all things are precisely as expected and you can almost hear the snicker as they point obliquely at Blizzard and say, “if you want the guys responsible, look over there.” i love pacer. :) an interesting thing in the ige answer. apparently, the fellow bringing the suit was […]

once more, the so-called evil IGE

ah, now you see, i’ve let myself get out of the loop on this one and wouldn’t you know it, soon as i do, there’s some movement. as you may recall, i’ve been something of a lone voice in the wilderness in relation to support for the secondary market and looking further ahead to the many benefits that a confrontation in the courts would bring not only to gaming, but to the matter of consumer rights regarding intellectual property online. as it stands, in gaming particularly, the consumer HAS no right. they don’t even have the right of access if […]

parallels and signs

for the most part, meaning is where you find it. on the other hand, it seems sometimes it arrives where unexpected. but perhaps that is only a willingness to notice or draw it from everywhere you look. i’m not sure. whichever it may be, yet another snippet of interest, meaning, and synchronicity today.
