narcissus 1

She met him by a campfire, in the woods. Didn’t know he was there until he giggled and, when she looked up, tossed her a snappy salute before running away. Curious, she followed. Found him in a clearing, by a campfire, next to a stream. Sitting, she smiled. He was distracted. Something in the water. She waited. Eventually, he turned and gave her such a brilliant smile that her breath left her, “Isn’t it beautiful?” He asked. Stuttering softly, she blushed, “Yes. scrytch : papercuts

cleaning out the files, it seemed the corroded stacks of paper were almost clinging to the drawer. as she tugged more violently, one piece took offense and slyly snicked along the soft skin of her wrist, briefly, but long enough to part several layers and set a sting.

i’m actually excited for this… the domain and its mirror are up and running, the template is set, the links for connection to a mailing list and auto-publication/update are in place (with a whitelisting moderation too!), and once the archives are online, it will be time to begin the presentation/marketing.
