odd staggers and quantum leaps
the last month and a half have been something of a quantum leap here.
on regrets…
someone wrote about having regrets for their poor choices and mistakes in relation to others. they said they see themselves do these things, but somehow, can’t manage to regret it until much later. got me to thinking.
on self and using reactions as learning
this, a conversation carried from another place, had me speaking to another with regard to how i began to discover certain things of ‘self’ and ‘ego’ and ‘pride’ and how to recognize when they were impeding me.
cats that go splat are no fun
walking out the door, the cats are chasing one another. they run through the kitchen and i hear a decidedly un-cat-like noise. a splat. a splat as in the sound of racing paws striking water. not good.
reminder on compassion
this, written to another, seems a thing i would do well to remember myself. pressing it into wax.

the whole ‘np’ thing
on occasion, i am temporarily enticed by this stuff, but then i realize it is kind of like the notion of ‘the shortcut’. almost never really faster, certainly not as thorough, and the process of bypassing the process of striving through, i think, misses that which would make the resulting change permanent and long-lasting (to the degree anything ever can be, mind you).
