Zygometric (a pure seed pattern as fiction)

The dissonance present in today’s business culture is crushing us all. How is it that we cannot more clearly understand, collectively, that no method, no tool, no system, no process, no policy, no standard, and no rule will ever SOLVE an issue that is not actively and honestly engaged by every sentient affected and all relevant data at hand?   This article is an attempt to unpack the conceptual mass of the above paragraph by defining its terms and their contexts to deliver the fullness of the problems and outline the potential solutions involved.  Much of this article assumes you have a […]

A quiet friday night…

A smallish status update to start – the archives require some parsing and editing before coming online, so it may be a few days yet before I manage it. That said, I have decided that the only things that will make the transition are those that hold creative, positive, or otherwise peaceful things. I suppose that won’t sound like much to ‘say’, but, all things considered, it is a sizeable shift from the purpose and orientation of these places in previous years. The explication isn’t that important, so I’ll keep it brief – there are things that should be shared […]

oasis

finding a crumb, i follow the trail, my cheeks hot for accusations unfounded which now, finally, before the brick wall, i bring validity. sadness, deep sorrow, that care comes to this… willing to skulk along silently, inhale the scent of a solitary crumb before laying it reverently upon my tongue to slowly dissolve. i follow the trails of letters and languages, lore and limping steps upon a path toward a life-long goal. i remember the days when this water was welcome. today, you would rather die of dehydration than drink. i refuse to ask ‘why’ anymore. like the gleaner i […]

archival – about love

i wrote this ‘off the cuff’ over at my myspace page and realized i had not captured it for ‘posterity’ here. heh. so here it is. — You know that old saying about love and setting something free? It goes, “If you love something, set if free, if it is meant to be, it will return to you.” It’s wrong. If you love something, you already admit and accept that it’s free and you love it because it is so, not because you managed to cage it or tie it to your damned ankle. Love isn’t how well something is […]

being and becoming (alternate life)

i dream of alternate lives. have for as long as i can remember. i often wonder if those dreams are the real life or if this one is. i cannot say i always know. things are different, even as they are the same. me and the ‘generic’ you… in all our amazing possibility… sometimes, you and i are married. sometimes, we have only just met. sometimes, we never meet, not in a grocery, not at the library, not on a street corner, not at all. or, if we do, it’s strangers passing one another without awareness. for all i know […]

Lost Pages – Lamentation of Rán

“True, I talk of dreams, Which are the children of an idle brain, Begot of nothing but vain fantasy, Which is as thin of substance as the air And more inconstant than the wind, who wooes Even now the frozen bosom of the north, And, being anger’d, puffs away from thence, Turning his face to the dew-dropping south.” So a noble one once spoke, in literature that were, itself, a fantasy. Speaking of the balmy breeze not of love, but of that passing infatuation, the fantasy unattainable, which eventually shifts and departs. It is so with many hearts in the […]

bamboo garden

as if it didn’t matter at all, laughing at the kitchen counter, severing sinew from bone, making dinner, sacrifice of living things to the hunger. i never knew him such a callous cannibal until i watched as he cheerfully cut that piece of meat, all that was left of what once was a wild and tender thing. i closed my eyes, ducked my head. bit back the scream and waited for the image to pass. i wandered like that for some time; blind and stumbling and happy to be so if it meant i would not again see such gleeful […]
